**Ukraine Claims Drones Can Hit Targets Up to 2,000 km Away**
The Ukrainian military says its drones can operate up to 2,000 kilometers away from the front line. This is according to a statement made by Andrii Yusov, spokesperson for Ukraine’s military intelligence (HUR).
Yusov said that Ukrainian long-range unmanned aerial vehicles can “hypothesically” operate up to 2,000 kilometers. He also claimed that all Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory target military and industrial facilities, rather than civilian infrastructure.
**Recent Drone Strikes in Russia**
There have been reports of Ukrainian drones hitting targets deep within Russian territory. A drone attack was reported against a Russian naval base in the Dagestan Republic on November 6. Another strike hit a Russian radar system in Orsk in May, covering a distance of around 1,200 miles.
**Ukraine’s Drone Program**
President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Ukraine aims to produce at least 30,000 long-range drones next year. The Ukrainian military is also developing “missile-drones,” upgraded UAVs with turbojet engines that can act as alternatives to cruise missiles.
**Other Developments**
Azerbaijani Transport Minister Rashad Nabiyev said an Azerbaijan Airlines plane crash in Kazakhstan was caused by “external interference.” Ukraine has been building heavy fortifications near the city of Zaporizhzhia in preparations for a potential Russian offensive in the region.
