**Ukrainian Partisans Destroy Russian Electronic Warfare System**
On March 30, Ukraine’s military intelligence reported that Ukrainian partisans had destroyed an electronic warfare system in the Kherson Oblast region of Ukraine.
**Video Shows Destruction of System**
A video published online by Ukraine’s military intelligence shows a partisan destroying the system. The video shows the partisan pouring gasoline over a vehicle on which the system was stationed, setting it on fire. The partisan then quickly fled the scene.
**Electronic Warfare Systems Used by Russians**
Russian forces use electronic warfare systems to suppress radio communications and conduct electronic intelligence. The loss of such a system significantly weakens the capabilities of the aggressor’s army.
**Kherson Oblast Under Russian Occupation**
Ukraine’s southern Kherson Oblast was occupied by Russian forces at the start of the full-scale war. A counteroffensive launched by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the fall of 2022 led to the liberation of the region’s capital. However, Russian forces were pushed back to the east bank of the Dnipro River and continue to occupy this area.
**Russian Attacks on Kherson Oblast**
From their position on the east bank of the Dnipro River, Russian forces regularly launch attacks against the Ukrainian-controlled part of Kherson Oblast. These attacks have killed civilians and destroyed infrastructure.
