**Russian Soldiers Bypass Ukrainian Positions in Toretsk**
Russian troops are using civilians as a disguise to avoid Ukrainian military positions in the Toretsk sector of Donetsk Oblast. This was revealed by a commander of the presidential brigade, known only by his call sign “Mozok”.
According to the commander, Russian soldiers dressed as civilians often wait for reinforcements or use anti-tank mines to attack Ukrainian positions after bypassing them.
“Some of the soldiers are former prisoners,” the commander said. “They are tasked with smuggling anti-tank mines and throwing them into our firing positions when the fighters cannot be knocked out during regular battles.”
The tactic has become increasingly common in recent months, particularly in Toretsk, which has become one of the hottest spots in Donetsk Oblast.
**Russia Continues to Attack Ukraine**
Russia launched a large-scale drone attack on Kyiv Oblast early on January 3. One person was killed and four others were injured, including a teenager. The attack also caused significant damage to residential areas.
Ukraine’s Air Force said that Russian forces had launched 81 drones overnight from various Russian cities, causing extensive casualties for the Ukrainian military.

Outgoing US Secretary of State Antony Blinken also commented on the situation, stating that China had likely engaged with Russia to advise against certain actions.
**Ukraine Exports Record Amounts of Agricultural Products**
Despite the ongoing conflict, Ukraine has managed to export a record 78.3 million tons of agricultural products in 2024. The country’s navy commander said that this was made possible by the arrival and departure of over 9,000 vessels from Ukrainian ports.
