**Germany and Ukraine Team Up for Military Equipment Repair**
Ukraine and Germany are working together to repair military equipment. This partnership will help fix damaged gear quickly and boost the Ukrainian economy.
The head of the German company, KND Systems, said that Ukrainian experts have already been trained in Germany. Initial systems have also been installed at local facilities. The goal is to support Ukraine’s plan to make more weapons locally.
This project is part of a bigger effort by Ukraine to strengthen its defenses. Last year, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine was producing 33-34% of its own military equipment – up from less than 10% before the war with Russia started.
Ukraine plans to spend $35 billion on weapons production in 2025. The government will provide $17 billion, while the rest may come from allies.
