**Ukraine’s New Missile-Drone Hybrid Enters Production**

Palianytsia is a lightweight missile-drone hybrid that was developed recently. A startup company helped implement the project, and the Defense Ministry supported it. This is part of Ukraine’s efforts to develop its own military capabilities.
**Why Is Domestic Production Important?**
Ukraine needs domestic production because Western partners have restrictions on where their missiles can be used. The Palianytsia missile-drone hybrid combines existing technologies to strike deep into Russian territory. It allows the Ukrainian Armed Forces to act independently and deliver pinpoint strikes on key enemy targets.
**Production and Orders**
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced in November that Ukraine had produced its first 100 missiles. The Defense Ministry has also resumed and scaled up serial production of Neptune cruise missiles, making them more effective. There are a significant number of new orders for various types of drones, including reconnaissance and long-range models.
