**Serbia Extends Electric Vehicle Subsidy Program**
The Serbian government will continue to support the purchase of electric vehicles in 2025. This is the sixth year of the program, which aims to improve air quality.
Over the past five years, approximately 2,800 environmentally friendly vehicles have been bought with the help of subsidies. The program was initially funded with 170 million dinars (around €1.4 million) this year. However, due to high demand, an additional 35 million dinars were allocated, bringing the total to 205 million dinars.
Environmental Protection Minister Irena Vujovic said that the program is important for improving air quality. She noted that if there is again high demand for subsidies in 2025, the government will try to get more funding.
The Serbian government plans to approve regulations by the end of January to outline the conditions and procedures for the 2025 subsidy program.
