Protesters Block Fire Truck and Empty Water Tank
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has reported that protesters in Tbilisi blocked a fire truck on its way to put out a fire. The protesters also threw objects at the vehicle.
Firefighters were on their way to respond to a report of a fire at the Gvino cafe near the Radisson Hotel. However, they were unable to reach the scene because the protesters had blocked the road. Citizens were hitting the car with their hands and throwing objects at it.
The protesters also tried to open the water tank tap on the fire truck. This forced the firefighters to drain the water from the truck themselves. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has warned the protesters to stop their illegal actions.
The Ministry said in a statement: “We would like to inform the public about another destructive and illegal action committed by the protesters.” They are urging media representatives and citizens not to spread misinformation.
