**Slovak MEP Criticizes Georgian Government**
Slovak Member of the European Parliament (MEP) Miriam Lexman has spoken out against recent events in Georgia. She believes that the government’s actions are unacceptable.
**Opposition Offices Raided and Leaders Arrested**
Lexman is referring to a police operation that took place today. The police searched apartments and offices belonging to activists and political parties. This includes the offices of “Unity of the National Movement”, “Coalition for Change“, and “Droa”. A former founder, Ilia Ghlonti, also had his apartment searched.
**Leaders Arrested**
At the same time as the search, two leaders were arrested: Nika Gvaramia from the “Coalition for Change” and Gela Khasaia from the coalition. Zviad Tsetskhladze from the “Dafion” movement was also arrested, along with several members of “Strong Georgia”. Members of the youth organization of “Unity National Movement” were also detained.
**Lexman Demands Action**
Lexman is calling on the European Council to take action. She believes that sanctions should be imposed immediately against the officials of “Georgian Dream”, the ruling party. Lexman wants an end to what she sees as terror against the Georgian people.
