** Underway Ruling Party Rally**

The Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) is preparing for a rally Jagodina this Friday. But what’s unusual about this event is that many of local public enterprises are being pressured to attend.

People working for these companies are being told they must go to the rally, or face losing their jobs. This is not just happening in Jagodina, but also in Gornji Milanovac, where municipal want as many employees as possible to show for the SNS.

**Employees Speak Out**

Bojan Savkovic from a citizens’ group called Uzinat said that some employees have been speaking out against this pressure. Those on fixed-term contracts are being especially targeted, and told they must attend the rally or risk losing their jobs when their contracts expire.

Savkovic believes that many people see through these and won’t be swayed by the SNS’s efforts. He also said that some private companies in Gornji Milanovac are pressuring their employees to attend the rally, too.

**Coercion and Bribery**

N1 reporter discovered that those who aren’t being coerced through their jobs but are still being organized to attend the rally might be paid to 15,000 dinars (around €117) for doing so. This is a clear attempt to bribe people into attending.

**The SNS’s Desperation**

Savkovic thinks that the SNS is acting out of desperation and that its efforts are in vain. “ and discontented people in Serbia have already seen through these tactics,” he said. “I view this as yet another desperate move.”
