Students in Belgrade are speaking to citizens across Serbia as part of a new campaign called “A Student in Every Village”.
The students, led by Stefan, have been visiting stands where people can talk to them. Stefan said that many citizens have left messages for the students.
Most of these messages are supportive, but some are critical. Despite this, the students were pleased with the response they received. They said that people were willing to listen and discuss their opinions.
Stefan also mentioned that a message from his mother was among those received by the students. She expressed her support for the students and called them “heroes of the future of Serbia”. This message meant a lot to Stefan and the other students.
The students are planning a large protest on March 15th and want it to be remembered as the biggest in Serbian history. They believe that dialogue is key to solving problems and reducing violence.
The goal of the “A Student in Every Village” campaign is to promote understanding and respect among people. The students will continue to visit stands across Serbia, listening to citizens’ opinions and concerns.
