**Movement for the People and the State Officially Registered**
A new association, called the Movement for the People and the State, has been officially registered in Serbia. The registration was made with the Serbian Business Registers Agency (APR) on Friday, March 28.
This movement was first announced in September 2022 and has been in the works for two and a half years. A gathering to mark its formation is planned to take place in Belgrade from April 11 to 13.
**What is the Movement’s Goal?**
The main goal of this non-profit, non-governmental association is to provide support for the preservation of Serbia during difficult times. The movement was created by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic as a place where individuals can come together to support the country.
**Key Features of the Association**
According to its Statute, the goals of the association include:
* Raising awareness about the importance of the state and popular sovereignty
* Advocating for prosperity, progress, and a modern state organization
* Promoting and affirming the potential for contributing to the development of national awareness
The movement will collect and process scientific and professional literature, organize conferences and seminars, and volunteer initiatives. It will also collaborate with universities, schools, professional organizations, and other institutions both domestically and internationally.
**Membership Requirements**
Anyone who submits an application and accepts the association’s goals can join. Individuals as young as 14 years old can become members with a certified statement of consent from their legal guardian.
