Matt , a Member of Parliament representing and Leamington, has joined a group of volunteers in driving four ambulances filled with aid the border with Ukraine. The , organized by the Polish community, has been travelling about 600 miles per day since Sunday and is expected to arrive on Wednesday afternoon. This effort comes after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

According to Mr Western, the journey has been challenging due to the heavy rain and difficult driving conditions. However, he remains determined to the people, especially as colder weather approaches. He emphasized the importance of continued support for Ukraine during this conflict, as they face their third winter with low energy supplies and ongoing Russian attacks.

Once the ambulances reach their destination near the border, they will be handed over to the Ukrainian military for further use. Mr Western expressed his admiration for the local Polish community, who have delivered over vehicles since the conflict began.

In an interview with BBC CWR, Mr Western urged people to follow BBC Coventry & Warwickshire on various social media platforms to stay updated on the situation in Ukraine. He also highlighted the need for ongoing support for the Ukrainian people during this difficult time.
