**Journalist Detained During Protest**
A journalist from the TV company “Mtavari Arkhi” was arrested while covering a protest rally. Beqa Korshia, a presenter and journalist for “Mtavari Arkhi”, was taken away by police early this morning.
The team at “Mtavari Arkhi” says they have been targeted by the government‘s party, “Georgian Dream”, for some time now. They claim that journalists are being attacked and their work is being disrupted.
**Demanding Release**
The TV company is demanding that Beqa Korshia be released immediately. They also want an investigation into his arrest to find out if it was legal.
In a statement, “Mtavari Arkhi” said they stand in solidarity with other media outlets and citizens who are being targeted by the government. They say they are fighting for Georgia‘s future as part of the Euro-Atlantic community.
