**Serbian Police Deny Using Sound Weapon Against Protesters**
Reports emerged on Saturday night that police used a sound weapon against protesters who were standing in silent tribute. However, the Serbian Internal Affairs Ministry (MUP) has denied these claims.
According to opposition leader Zdravko Ponos, a sound weapon was indeed used by police. “The reaction of the crowd shows they felt something passing through them,” he said.

Video footage shared on social media appears to show protesters parting like water as if something passed through them. The videos were taken during protests in Serbia.
**Serbian Law Prohibits Use of Sound Weapons**
The MUP stated that the use of sound weapons is not allowed under Serbian law. They added that their forces only use legal weapons, and therefore could not have used a sound weapon against protesters.
**Security Analyst Confirms Existence of Sound Weapon**
However, security analyst Aleksandar Radic confirmed that the Serbian security forces do possess a sound weapon. He described it as an American–made, non-lethal device designed to disable personnel.
