Mzia Amaglobeli Ends Hunger Strike
Mzia Amaglobeli, the founder of “Batumelebi,” has stopped her hunger strike. This was announced by her editor, Eteri Turadze.
Amaglobeli is a woman who was arrested for hitting a police officer in Batumi. Two children had died in an accident there. She went on a hunger strike after being arrested.
In a letter, Amaglobeli said she was ending her strike because of concerns about her health and life. She thanked people who supported her during the strike and asked them to stop their own strikes as well.
Amaglobeli ended her 38-day hunger strike. She had not eaten since she was arrested.
