**Belgrade Faculty of Medicine to Go on Strike**

The staff at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Medicine have decided to go on a general strike. This decision was made after a meeting where around 540 faculty members voted. The strike will start on March 17 and will last until the student demands are met.
No classes will take place during the strike, but essential medical activities that cannot be postponed will continue. The staff followed the law by announcing the strike five days in advance.
The vote was not just for teaching staff, but also included non-teaching members who were given the right to vote. The decision to go on a general strike was made with an overwhelming majority.
Students showed their appreciation for the staff’s decision by applauding them as they left the meeting.
