**Investigator Denies Claims of Evidence Tampering**

A member of the “Gakharia for Georgia” group, Natia Mezvrishvili, claims that the police did not secure the area where Giorgi Gakharia was attacked. Mezvrishvili says this is clear evidence of foul play.

The attack on Giorgi Gakharia happened at a hotel in Batumi last night. He was taken to a clinic and later released with injuries including a broken nose and concussion. Mezvrishvili claims that the police arrived late to the scene, which is already being investigated for evidence destruction.

According to Mezvrishvili, the investigator is trying to cover up their mistakes by removing any proof of wrongdoing. Mezvrishvili believes this will not work and that the investigator will have to prove they did nothing wrong.

**Confrontation at the Hotel**

A confrontation also took place at the same hotel between Zviad Qoridze, a representative of the non-governmental sector, and Dimitri Samkharadze, a representative of Georgian Dream. Qoridze claims he was confronted by Samkharadze’s entourage.
