NATO briefed by South Korean delegation on North Korean troops in Russia

According to the website, South Korean officials will inform NATO about Korea’ deployments of troops in Russia during a meeting at a level scheduled for 28th October. The meeting will be attended by the ambassadors of NATO’s Indo-Pacific Partners, including Australia and New Zealand.
South Korea’s intelligence had earlier reported that Pyongyang had sent 3,000 troops to Russia, with plans to deploy another 10,000 by December in order to support Russia’s war against Ukraine. According to the Ukrainian military, the first DPRK units trained on Russia’s eastern training grounds have already arrived in combat zones, particularly Oblast.
According to Yonhap the South Korean delegation will be led by First Deputy Hong Jang-won and include senior military officials as well as diplomats. NATO Secretary General asked for this briefing in a phone call with President Yoon-Suk Yeol, on 21 October.
