NATO’s leader, Mark Rutte, has asked the United States to keep sending weapons to Ukraine. He promised that Europe would pay for them.
Rutte made this announcement at a meeting in Davos, Switzerland. He said: “If the new US administration agrees to keep helping Ukraine, then Europe will cover the costs.”

President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine also talked to a news organization, Bloomberg, yesterday. He said it is very important for the US to lead in ending Russia‘s war against Ukraine.
Zelensky told reporters: “The end of the war must be a victory for President Trump, not for Russian President Vladimir Putin.”
President Trump has promised to quickly resolve Russia’s war, but he hasn’t explained how. Yesterday, he threatened Russia with harsher sanctions if they don’t agree on a deal soon.
