NATO Secretary General Rutte says Ukraine must negotiate from a position that is stronger with Russia

Mark Rutte, NATO Secretary , has stated that the alliance’s strategic goal is provide military support to Ukraine. If at some point Kyiv begins negotiations with to end the war, they will do so a strong position.
In recent weeks, several media outlets have written that Ukraine is allegedly willing to make concessions to Russia in exchange for its sovereignty and territorial integrity. Rutte’s comments seem to coincide with Ukraine’s desire to achieve a just via its “Victory Plan.” Rutte can help guide allies to the same direction, one that is aimed at supporting Ukraine without forcing it to the negotiating table.
Rutte noted during a joint with Evika Silina of Latvia that NATO is supporting Ukraine with military aid and will not allow Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin to have his way in Ukraine.
The NATO stated that the United States, along with other countries, are providing significant assistance for Ukraine. All that is left to do now is ensure that Ukraine can continue to withstand aggression.
“And if, one day, Zelensky and the team decide to discuss how to end this with Russia – he’ll do it from a strong position,” Rutte said.
Former NATO Secretary General Jens Stltenberg stated on 14 October that Ukraine should decide if it wants to negotiate with Russia. The main task for is to help Ukraine become as strong as possible.
Rutte also argued that the message to Russian was that “we will continue and do whatever is necessary to ensure that he does not get his way and that Ukraine will triumph.”
