**NATO-Ukraine Meets Discuss ‘s New Missile**

The NATO-Ukraine Council held an emergency meeting November 26. This came after Russia used a new type of missile called the “Oreshnik” in an attack on Ukraine.

Senior Ukrainian military officials spoke with NATO members via video link during the meeting, which took place at NATO headquarters in Brussels. The meeting was attended by ambassadors from various countries.

Russia launched the Oreshnik missile for the first time on November 21, when it attacked Dnipro. Later, Russian President Putin said that Ukraine had no way to counter this type of missile.

However, disagreed with Putin’s statement. He said that experts were analyzing the wreckage of the missile and working with allies to come up with a response.

**NATO Speaks Out Against Russia’s Actions**

The NATO alliance stated that using IRBMs like the Oreshnik would not change the course of the conflict or stop NATO from supporting Ukraine. The alliance also accused Russia of trying to scare the civilian population of Ukraine and those who it in its against Russia’s aggression.

Ukraine further emphasized the need for help from NATO allies to strengthen its against future attacks. This came as Russia continued to attack Ukrainian targets ahead of a harsh winter.

**Russia Attacks Ukraine with Drones**

In another development, Russia launched a record 188 drones at Ukraine overnight on November 25. Ukrainian air defenses were able to down 76 drones across 17 regions.
