“When it comes to Mr. Saakashvili it is the responsibility of the Georgian government to treat him fairly and with dignity. This includes providing all the necessary medical and mental treatment as recommended by independent public defenders medical experts”, said Ned Price.
He claimed that all medical and psychological treatments, as recommended by independent public defenders medical experts, should have been provided.
He said, “They should make sure, of course, that their human rights are protected and that they provide him with all the care he needs”.
He was asked about Saakashvili’s condition and the recommendation by American doctors that Saakashvili should be removed from the country.
