**Dutch Police Make New Arrests Over Football Violence**
Police in the Netherlands have arrested five more people over violence that broke out after a football match in Amsterdam. The arrests bring the total number of people detained to 68.
The violence happened on Thursday evening when fans of Israeli team Maccabi Tel Aviv were attacked by youths riding scooters. Five people were hurt and others received minor injuries.
**Police Crack Down On Unrest**
On Monday evening, an empty tram was attacked in Amsterdam. Some rioters shouted “Free Palestine” as they damaged cars and broke windows on the tram.
Police quickly put out the fire and made several arrests. No one was injured in the new unrest.
**Government Condemns Violence**
Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof called the attacks against Israelis and Jews “shocking and reprehensible”. He said that those responsible would be brought to justice.
Schoof also commented on reports of Maccabi supporters attacking a taxi and burning a Palestinian flag. However, he said this was not an excuse for the violence against Jewish people.
**International Condemnation**
Leaders in Europe, the US, and Israel have condemned the violence. The arrests come as the Netherlands prepares to mark Kristallnacht, the 1938 Nazi pogroms that killed three-quarters of Jewish people from the country during World War Two.
