New Drone Factory Planned in Finland with Ukrainian Partners
A new drone production facility is being set up in Finland. The company behind it, Summa Defence, will work together with four Ukrainian companies to meet growing demand for advanced military and civilian drones.
The Russo-Ukrainian war has shown how important drones are on the battlefield. Both sides are using them to gather information and carry out attacks. This has led to a lot of innovation in drone technology.
Summa Defence says that its new facility will be able to produce many more drones than it can now. It plans to start making large numbers of them in 2025. The company is working with Kort, Elf Systems, Skyassist, and MPS Development from Ukraine to make this happen.
The CEO of Summa Defence, Jussi Holopainen, says that there is a lot of demand for drones. This new factory will help meet that demand.
