Four opposition parties in Georgia will work together. This was announced by Nika Gvaramia, a leader of the “Coalition for Change”. He wrote about it on social media.
Gvaramia said that all four parties – “Coalition for Change”, “Unity – National Movement“, “Strong Georgia” and “Gakharia for Georgia” – will work together. This is because they want to save their country, not because they agree with each other or like each other.
The meeting between the opposition parties and President Salome Zurabishvili was held after a statement from the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze. He said that Georgia will not ask to start talks with the European Union until 2028. The government also decided not to accept any money from the EU for the same period.
This decision was made by the ruling team. Now, the opposition parties are working together to try and change this decision.
