**Opposition Leader Calls for Political Offensive**

The leader of the for Change, , has announced a new strategy to take on the current government in Georgia. Speaking after a meeting with opposition leaders and an MEP, Gvaramia said that it’s time to move from protests to a full-blown political offensive.

Gvaramia emphasized that while are necessary, they are not enough to bring about change. He believes that the opposition must work everywhere – in the streets, in the regions, and in the capital – to maintain the policy of non-recognition, which he called “essential and decisive”.

** Elections Needed**

The opposition leader called for seizing the elections from the current government, but under fair conditions. Gvaramia accused Ivanishvili of accumulating political prisoners and passing bad , with the intention of later releasing them and allowing the opposition to return to parliament.

**No Repeat of 2019**

Gvaramia specifically stated that there will be no repeat of the situation in 2019, where a European was able to broker a deal between the government and opposition. He said “There will be no ‘Charles Michel ‘” – implying that this time, the opposition will not be swayed by promises from Europe.
