**Leader of Georgian Party Arrested**
Zurab Japaridze, leader of the “Coalition for Change”, was arrested in Tbilisi. The party’s president, Nika Gvaramia, says they are still trying to find out where he is.
According to Gvaramia, everyone connected with the party is ready for arrest and any other kind of trouble. He wrote on social media that the party will make a statement about Japaridze’s arrest and act as usual in such cases.
Gvaramia said that politicians know what they are fighting for and who they are fighting against. He added that the party is staying strong and helping all patriots who have been detained, just like Japaridze would do.
**Arrest Preceded by Confrontation**
Japaridze was arrested on Chavchavadze avenue this morning after a confrontation between police forces and protesters. The details of what happened are not yet clear.
