A leader of a protest group called the “Coalition for Change”, Nika Gvaramia, spoke to a crowd on Chavchavadze Avenue. He said that people from all over Georgia should join in and take over the whole city.
Nika Gvaramia told the crowd that they shouldn’t let the current government get away with what he called “fraudulent elections”. He said that the Georgian people should show their opposition to these elections by taking a stand. He reminded them that this country belongs to everyone, not just those in Tbilisi.
The leader of the protest group also warned against allowing Georgia to become controlled by Russia or its government. He said that the protesters would take over roads and streets all across the country, from Varaziskhevi to Kutaisi and Batumi.
