**Georgian Opposition Leader Criticizes Government’s Appointment**
Nika Melia, leader of the “Coalition for Change“, has spoken out against the Georgian government’s recent appointment. Maka Bochorishvili, a member of the Russian government, has been nominated as Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Melia says that it is impossible for Bochorishvili to make any kind of breakthrough in international isolation. He believes that whoever is appointed minister will only deepen the country’s isolation from the rest of the world.
**Government Seen as Illegitimate**
Melia views the current government as illegitimate and is calling for its overthrow. He wants new elections to be held, which would give people a chance to elect a new government. Until then, he says that the opposition movement must continue to push for change.
**Parliament Criticized**
The opposition leader also criticized the Georgian parliament, saying it is not a parliament but a “notary’s office”. He believes that the current members of parliament do not represent the interests of the Georgian people and are only there to serve their own interests.
**Confrontation to Continue**
Melia says that the confrontation between the government and opposition will continue until the people outside defeat the self-proclaimed government inside. He believes that this is a daily struggle that requires constant effort to achieve its goal.
**Response to Speaker‘s Statement**
The opposition leader also responded to the statement made by the Speaker of Parliament, where he compared the opposition’s actions to “sports fraud”. Melia said that even if the Speaker lived his entire life, he would never be able to match the level of Shalva Natelashvili, a prominent figure in Georgian politics.
