Tbilisi, Georgia is expecting a big change. A famous leader, Nika Melia, wants the whole city to be covered with protests soon. He thinks it’s time for people to stand together every day until the current government changes.
Melia is part of “Coalition for Change“. He spoke at a rally and said that Bidzina Ivanishvili needs to step back. This will break a cycle that has been going on for a while. Melia wants more and more people to join the protests near a university.
He wants the whole city, not just one place, to be covered with protests. He thinks many groups should form and work together. Everyone’s help is needed in this fight against the government.
Melia also talked about the president, Salome Zurabishvili. He said that the opposition agrees with her position. She doesn’t recognize the last elections as fair, and neither do any other opposition parties or civil society groups. Melia thinks it’s time to hold new elections.
