**Lithuanian Government Scolded for Hypocrisy**
The Lithuanian government is being criticized for its treatment of Georgia. While they urged Georgia to impose sanctions on Russia, Lithuania sold more wine to Russia in 2023 than Georgia did.
This hypocrisy was pointed out by Nikoloz Samkharadze, the chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Parliament. He wrote on X’s website: “Perfect example of double standards. Lithuanian government pressurised Georgia for imposing sanctions on Russia yet they sold more wine to Russia in 2023 than Georgia.”
Samkharadze questioned how Lithuania could grow grapes in the Baltics, considering its cold climate.
