The Italian Embassy in Tbilisi announces that Nino Kharatishvili, the celebrated Georgian writer and playwright, has been awarded the prestigious Grinzane-Cavour International Prize. This prize recognizes both Italian and international exceptional literary works published by Italy for her novel “The Uncanny Light”. According to the Italian Embassy, Fabio Cremonese translated the novel into Italian.
The increasing number of Kharatishvili’s literary achievements demonstrates the extent of her influence and recognition. The award not only highlights her talent, but also places Georgia on the literary scene internationally.
