**Public Servants Fired from State Institutions**
Nino Lomjaria, founder of “Georgia’s European Orbit,” says around 20 state institutions have fired public servants. These include important government offices like the Administration and Parliament.
Citizens were let go from these places:
* The Government of Georgia
* Tbilisi City Hall
* The Ministry of Internal Affairs
* The Ministry of Foreign Affairs
**Why Were They Fired?**
According to Lomjaria, the reason for the firings is not always clear. But she says that public servants who signed statements protesting against a decision by the Georgian Dream party were often let go.
These employees demanded that their rights be respected under Article 78 of the Constitution and participated in peaceful protests. Some also spoke out on social media about violence against protesters.
**Other Places with Fired Employees**
Lomjaria says other state institutions have also fired public servants for similar reasons, including:
* The National Agency of Public Registry
* Tbilisi City Hall’s Public Relations Agency
* Other government agencies and municipalities
