Nino Lomjaria of “European Orbit of Georgia” shared details about the highly-anticipated “Georgia Chooses the European Union march in Tbilisi. The event will feature speakers from various fields, including the President of Georgia.
Nino Lomjaria said that representatives from different sectors will address participants of the March, which is scheduled for 19:00. Lomjaria said that it is likely that President Salome Zurabishvili will deliver a speech at the event. The final program of the March will be held on Freedom Square. Stages will then be set up.
“Speakers are representatives of different public groups: academic circles, civil societies, media, and the medical sector. There will be diverse representation. The coalition “My Vote for the European Union” will start at Republic Square… We will be met by Freedom Square, where the program will begin.”
Lomjaria expressed his optimism that President Zurabishvili will join the march and address the crowd. This would reinforce the importance of the peaceful demonstration of Georgia’s European aspirations. The march will begin at 17:00 at five locations, and end at Freedom Square.
