**University Staff Show Support for Student Protest**
A group of professors and staff at Nis University have decided to stop work in support of student protests. The students are demanding answers about the deaths of 15 people who were killed when a concrete awning collapsed at a railway station.
The professors met together, just like the students do every day, and decided to take action. They issued a declaration saying they would stop all their professional activities until things change.
To show their support, the professors recorded a video message for the students. In the video, they say “You’re not alone, professors are with you”. Each university school will make its own video messages, making it easier for the students to spread their demands.
This is just one example of how people in Serbia are showing solidarity with the student protesters. The students want answers about what happened at the railway station and who is responsible for the tragedy.
