In his speech at the closing of the multinational exercise Noble Partner 2022, Georgian Prime Minster Irakli Garibashvili said that the multinational exercises Noble Partner were yet another consistent step towards deepening international cooperation in the direction of professionalism of our prized soldiers and interoperability within NATO.
Garibashvili expressed his gratitude to the military personnel who participated in the drills.
The Prime Minister expressed his deep gratitude to the Georgian forces for once again demonstrating their professionalism and responsibility.
“Madame President, Mr. Chief of Defense Forces and distinguished generals, officers and sergeants as well as corporals, privates and representatives of the diplomatic corps I greet you all!
“Honorable guests I congratulated you on the completion of another multinational exercise Noble Partner.
“We are proud to host these exercises in Georgia for a sixth time.
“It’s another consistent step in deepening our cooperation with NATO and enhancing the professionalism of our troops. Our service members and their colleagues from NATO partner and member states develop their capabilities and establish strong ties year after year.
“The Noble Partner name perfectly illustrates our key principles that have guided our years of cooperation, which has been based on mutual empowerment. Along with mastering unique combat techniques, our units also share their experiences with our strategic and global partners.
“I want to thank all the countries that participated in these drills, including the representatives from Japan and Sweden, who took part for the first time. I also want to thank each service member who took part in these exercise. I am particularly grateful to our valued military personnel who once again demonstrated their high professionalism and responsible.
“In the same vein I would like to thank our main strategic partner the United States of America for organizing these exercises and contributing to their execution. Our partnership and cooperation are strong and growing rapidly, aimed at enhancing the defense capability and resilience in our country.
“In conclusion, once again, I would like to thank all of our service members and congratulate everyone on the successful conclusion of Noble Partner 2020. Garibashvili said, “May God be your protector.”
The multinational exercises Noble Partner in the 11th Training Area of Vaziani have officially ended. The event’s guests observed the moment of silence after the performance of Georgian national anthem in memory of those who died for the territorial integrity Georgia.
Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili addressed the military personnel of participating countries, as did US Ambassador to Georgia Kelly Degnan and Deputy Commanding general of V Corps/Major-General Jeffrey Broadwater.
The ceremony continued with a presentation of awards to the participants. Major General Giorgi Mathiashvili, Chief of Defense Forces, awarded the Defense Ministry Medals Noble Partner to General Mazniashvili and General Kvinitadze.
The closing ceremony of multinational exercises in Vaziani, Georgia, was attended by the Georgian executive and legislative branches, as well as the diplomatic corps. Also present were members of Substantial NATO-Georgia Package Core Team and representatives of NATO Liaison Office (OL), Office of Defense Cooperation(ODC), and EU Monitoring Mission.
