Nominated are members of the Cabinet of Ministers of Irakli Garibashvili, the nominee for prime minister. The new Cabinet of Ministers has only replaced the heads of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure and the Ministry of Defense.
According to Garibashvili’s decision, Juansher Burchuladze will replace Maia Tskitishvili as Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure. Her First Deputy Irakli Karaseladze will replace her.

The new composition of the Georgian Cabinet of Ministers was already submitted to the Parliament of Georgia.
The issue of declaring your confidence in the Cabinet of Ministers, and the government program proposed by Garibashvili, will be discussed during the plenary on February 22.
As a matter of record, Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia resigned Thursday morning. He explained that he considered it unjust to detain UNM Chairman Nika Meelia under conditions where there is a risk of political escalation. Georgian Dream nominated Irakli Garibashvili, Defense Minister, as its candidate for prime minister following Gakharia’s resignation.
