**Georgian Civil Sector Condemns Violence by Law Enforcement**
A group of non-governmental organizations in Georgia has strongly condemned the violence committed by law enforcement agencies linked to Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili. The joint statement from various NGOs says that the actions of “Georgian Dream” have gone beyond legal, constitutional, and moral frameworks.
**Repression and Violence**
The statement notes that Ivanishvili had announced repressions a few days ago, and now law enforcement agencies are carrying out this task. It also states that the initiation of repression, torture of detainees, and excessive use of force against protesters by the illegitimate force in power is a sign of the regime’s weakness and fear.
**Call to Action**
The organizations call on the international democratic community and friendly countries of Georgia to stand with the Georgian people and take action to stop representatives of the repressive Russian regime. They demand individual sanctions for those who commit, order, or are responsible for violence. The NGOs also ask for the immediate release of all persons arrested after November 28 and the appointment of new elections.
**Signed by Various Organizations**
The statement is signed by a number of prominent organizations in Georgia, including International Transparency – Georgia, International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy Civil Society Foundation, and others. They urge the international community to take action against the violent regime and protect the rights of Georgian citizens.
