**Nordic and Baltic Countries Express Concern Over Georgia‘s Crisis**
The foreign ministers of Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, and Sweden have released a joint statement about the situation in Georgia. They are worried that the country is becoming more divided and facing a crisis.
The ministers want an investigation into problems during the October 26 parliamentary elections. They also want Georgian authorities to take action to address the crisis. This includes following recommendations from the OSCE (Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe) about how to run fair elections.
Georgia needs a way out of this crisis, say the Nordic and Baltic countries. They want the Georgian government to restore public trust in democratic institutions. The ministers are urging the authorities to consider holding new elections based on the OSCE recommendations.
This statement was shared by Latvia’s Foreign Minister Baiba Braže on social media.
