**Ukraine’s North Operational Command Chief Dismissed**
Major General Dmytro Krasylnykov, commander of Ukraine’s Northern Operational Command, has been dismissed from his post. He told Ukrainian media outlet Suspilne that he was not given an official reason for his dismissal.
Krasylnykov said he was placed in a reserve battalion and that Brigadier General Oleksii Shandar would take over as his successor. The dismissal comes after reports of Russian advances against Ukrainian positions in Kursk Oblast, where Kyiv launched a cross-border incursion last year.
**No Clear Reason for Dismissal**
Krasylnykov said he did not see any possible reasons for his dismissal, including in relation to the developments in Kursk Oblast. He had commanded the Northern Operational and Tactical Group since Russia’s full-scale invasion began and was appointed commander of the Northern Operational Command in March 2023.
**Russian Advances Continue**
Russian forces have entered the Kursk Oblast town of Sudzha, according to multiple Russian and Ukrainian sources. Fighting is ongoing, but the Ukrainian military has not yet commented on the claims.
**Ukraine’s Military Situation**
Concerns about Ukraine’s situation have grown amid the temporary loss of U.S. military and intelligence support after a clash between President Volodymyr Zelensky and U.S. President Donald Trump. However, support was resumed on March 11 after Ukraine agreed to a U.S.-proposed temporary ceasefire.
**Casualties and Losses**
Russian attacks across Ukraine killed at least 14 civilians and injured at least 33 over the past day, regional authorities reported. The casualties included children and Syrian crew members of a merchant vessel in Odesa.
