**Norway and Germany Help Ukraine’s Small Businesses**
The Ukrainian Ministry of Finance has announced a new grant program. Norway and Germany are behind this initiative. They want to help small businesses in Ukraine with energy-related expenses.
**Russia Continues to Target Energy Infrastructure**
At the same time, Russia is still attacking Ukraine’s energy infrastructure every day. Since October 2022, they have been hitting the country’s energy systems with missiles and drones. Their goal is to make life harder for civilians, especially during the winter months.
**How the Grant Program Works**
The program is being run by two organizations: Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the Entrepreneurship Development Fund. They are working with four banks in Ukraine to give grants to small businesses. Micro-enterprises can get up to €10,000 ($10,550), while small businesses can receive up to €20,000 ($21,101).
**Benefits for Small Businesses**
Successful implementation of this program could lead to a reduction of up to 40% in credit debt. This is good news for Ukrainian businesses, which are crucial for the country’s economy. They are helping with recovery and reconstruction efforts amidst the ongoing challenges from the war.
