**Norwegian Fuel Company Refuses to Supply U.S. Navy**
A Norwegian fuel supplier, Haltbakk Bunkers, has announced that it will not deliver any fuel to the U.S. Navy until President Donald Trump is no longer in office. The company’s owner, Gunnar Gran, made this statement after a public dispute between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
**Background of the Dispute**
Zelensky was on his way to sign a major natural resources deal with the U.S. when a last-minute provocation by Vice President JD Vance led to a public clash. Trump accused Zelensky of not being “ready” for peace, and the Ukrainian president was expelled from the White House.
**Company’s Statement**
The official Facebook page of Haltbakk Bunkers described the dispute as the “biggest sh*tshow ever presented ‘live on TV’ by the current American president and his vice president.” The company expressed its support for Ukraine and announced that it will no longer act as a fuel provider for U.S. military forces and naval vessels docking in Norway.
**Boycott of U.S. Navy**
Haltbakk Bunkers provided 3 million liters of fuel to the U.S. warships in 2024, but its owner believes that the boycott “will not upset anyone.” The company has many Ukrainian employees and wants to show its support for Ukraine.
**Norway’s Response**
In light of Haltbakk Bunkers’ announced boycott, Norway’s Defense Ministry reaffirmed its ties with the U.S. The statement read, “The U.S. and Norway maintain a close and strong defense cooperation.”
