**Serbian Students Declare “Media War” Against Regime Tabloids**
Serbia’s protesting students have announced a “media war” against the Informer pro-regime tabloid and cable TV. This comes after the media outlet attacked one of their fellow students, according to Nova.rs.
The media war started when a journalist from Novi Pazar shared private information about Davud Delimedjac, a student at the state university in Novi Pazar. The Informer has been known for its attacks on many Serbians, but this time it sparked a response from students who issued their own declaration of a “media war”.
**Other Regime Media Outlets Join In**
The Vecernje Novosti daily, Pink TV, and Kurir tabloid have also taken a negative stand against the student protests. These media outlets are now being used by the regime to attack the protesters.
Vecernje Novosti published an article claiming that people were starving due to the blockades. The article was later deleted, but not before it caused outrage among students and other protesters.
Pink TV has been broadcasting lengthy analytical programs and news segments in support of the regime. One of its owners, Zeljko Mitrovic, even made a demeaning comment about opposition leader Dragan Djilas, calling him a “pig” who had released a strong fart that made people flee screaming.
Kurir, on the other hand, has been leading in deploying online propaganda to create dissatisfaction with the student protests. It published 9 stories in just a few hours, allowing public officials to voice their disagreement with the protests.
