**Students End School Blockade, Demands Mostly Met**
The final year students of the Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj Grammar School in Novi Sad have ended their school blockade. The students were greeted with cheers and applause from parents and professors as they left the schoolyard.
**Students Thank Parents and Teachers**
The students thanked their parents and teachers for their support, saying they had achieved their goal of restoring the reputation and dignity of their school. They also emphasized that the protest’s most important outcome was the sense of unity achieved among them.
**Key Demands Met**
The school board accepted five of the students’ demands:
* Withdrew a statement apologizing to Serbian Prime Minister Milos Vucevic
* Apologized to teachers and students for the statement
* Acknowledged the students’ demands during the blockade
* Guaranteed their right to honor the 15 victims of the November 1 Novi Sad tragedy by observing 15 minutes of silence in front of the school every Friday at 11:52 am
* Assured that students and teachers who participated in the blockade would not face sanctions
**One Demand Remains Unmet**
The only demand that has not been met is an apology from the school principal. The students said this was no longer relevant to them, given his conduct during the crisis.
