**Ukraine and US Agree on Date for Trump’s Peace Envoy Visit**
The Ukrainian government has reached a preliminary agreement with the US on the date of a visit to Kyiv by Keith Kellogg, President–elect Donald Trump‘s nominee for Ukraine peace envoy.
According to Heorhii Tykhyi, a spokesperson for the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, the visit will take place soon. However, the exact date was not disclosed due to security reasons.
The US has been involved in peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia, with Trump promising to bring an end to Russia’s war in Ukraine during his presidential campaign.
**Ukraine to Share Information with US Peace Envoy**
During the visit, Ukrainian officials intend to share “important information” with Kellogg. This will help the incoming US administration develop its strategy for achieving a just peace in the region.
Kellogg previously served as executive secretary and chief of staff of the US National Security Council under Trump. He also advised then-Vice President Mike Pence.
**Russia’s War Efforts**
The conflict between Ukraine and Russia has been ongoing, with both sides experiencing losses. The Russian Central Bank has raised its interest rate to 21% to combat inflation fueled by war spending.
Ukraine is receiving US funds under the framework of the G7’s $50 billion loan covered by profits from frozen Russian assets.
