**Ukraine Faces Risk of Losing Strategic Town**
Russian forces are expanding their control in Ukraine, threatening to take the town of Borova. This could give them access to a key city called Izium.
Oleksandr Skoryk, a member of the Kharkiv Regional Council, says that if Russia takes Borova, they will be able to reach Izium more easily. He warned that this would change the balance of power in the area.
**Tensions Remain High in Kharkiv Oblast**
The situation in Kharkiv Oblast is still tense. Ukrainian and Russian forces are engaged in battles across the region. While Ukraine has managed to take back some positions north of the city of Kharkiv, Russia continues to push forward in other areas.
Russian missiles have also been targeting urban areas, causing damage and injuries. On November 25, a strike damaged over 195 residential buildings and injured at least 23 civilians.
**Borova Under Threat**
Skoryk emphasized that while Ukraine has pushed Russian forces back on some fronts, the situation remains complex. He noted that settlements in the area are constantly under attack, and losing Borova would give Russia a direct route to Izium.
**Other Towns Also at Risk**
The towns of Kupiansk and Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi are also at risk of occupation, particularly the left-bank part of Kupiansk. Skoryk pointed out that these towns are crucial because they serve as a railway hub and logistical center.
**Russian Forces Concentrate Efforts**
In recent days, Russian forces have focused their efforts on several fronts, including Pokrovsk and Kurakhiv. They have also launched attacks in the Vremivka and Kupiansk areas. Over the past 24 hours, there were 192 combat engagements.
