**Assault in Belgrade Park**
Two women were attacked while walking their dogs in a park in downtown Belgrade. The incident happened on Wednesday afternoon near the Serbian Presidency building.
Ivana Vujovic and her friend were surrounded by a group of men who recognized them as not being part of a student protest camped outside the presidency building. The men started insulting them and one of them grabbed Ivana’s friend’s cell phone.
**Attackers Identified**
A video shows that one of the attackers is Marko Pesic, the director of a municipal utility company in Vojvodina. He is also a member of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS). Another attacker is Milan Kondic, head of the SNS councilor group in Kula.
Sources from Kula said that Marko Pesic has a history of violent behavior. He has been known to be aggressive and has received restraining orders in the past for threatening his common-law wife.
**Surprise Attack**
Ivana Vujovic was shocked by what she witnessed in Pioneers’ Park. She described the area as being filled with “older, muscular, tattooed men” but no students were seen. The incident is still under investigation.
