Oliver Varhelyi, Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy, said at Press Conference after the General Affairs meeting of the Union that and its Government have implemented reforms and should be granted candidate-status.
“This is a decision that should be taken by the of [EU member states]. I think that our proposals are very specific. We believe that Georgia has made a lot of progress, Georgia, and its government has implemented [reforms]. They should therefore be granted candidate status.
We will see if the European Council does it. My message to the and People is “keep on working”. Varhelyi said, “This is the best recipe for achieving success”.
