**Ombudsman Visits Detained Protesters**
The Public Defender of Georgia, Levan Ioselian, has visited 34 people who were detained during a protest rally in Tbilisi and Sagarejo.
According to his office, some of the detainees had injuries when he met with them. They claimed that police officers mistreated them while they were being held and taken away.
The Public Defender shared what he learned with a special investigation team. He also reminded the Ministry of Internal Affairs to look into reports that police are not returning confiscated belongings, such as phones and other personal items.
