Parliament to Vote on Terminating Powers of Several Politicians

The Georgian Parliament will meet on December 10 to vote on the termination of parliamentary powers for several politicians. These include , honorary of the “Georgian ” party; Irakli , the party’ chairman; and Mikheil Kavelashvili, who has been nominated as a presidential candidate.

First, the issue will be considered by the Procedural Issues and Rules Committee. After that, it will go to a plenary where members of Parliament will vote on the matter.

Additionally, the Parliament is also scheduled to discuss the termination of parliamentary powers for five other politicians: Irakli , who remains as Prime Minister; Maka Bochorishvili, appointed as Foreign Affairs Minister; , Justice Minister; Davit Songhulashvili, Environment and Agriculture Minister; and Mariam Kvrivishvili, Deputy Economy and Sustainable Minister.

These politicians are accused of incompatible positions with their membership in Parliament.
